Less Meeting works with AI assistants that support MCP connectors, including Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Once it’s connected, you can ask your AI assistant about your meetings: what the leadership team decided last week, which action items you still owe, or what’s on Thursday’s agenda.
You’ll need an active trial or paid plan. Every AI assistant connects to the same address:
https://app.lessmeeting.com/mcp
Less Meeting is also listed in the official MCP Registry as com.lessmeeting/mcp, so MCP clients that browse the registry can find it there. For example requests and an overview, see Less Meeting MCP server.
What Your AI Assistant Can Do
- List and search your meetings, and open one to read its agenda, notes, decisions and action items.
- List your action items, including the ones still open.
- Create and edit meetings (agenda, notes, action items, goals, parking lot, KPIs and attendees) and send the minutes to attendees, if you allow updates on the consent screen.
Your assistant only sees the meetings your own account can see in Less Meeting.
Meetings Your Assistant Creates
A meeting your assistant creates goes into Less Meeting only. It isn’t added to your Google or Outlook calendar, and no invitations go out; send them from the meeting page in Less Meeting when you’re ready.
- Every meeting needs at least one agenda item, and it runs as long as the agenda items’ minutes add up to.
- Attendees can only be people you’ve already met with in Less Meeting. Add anyone else from the meeting page.
- Asking for the same title at the same start time again gives you the existing meeting instead of a duplicate.
Claude (claude.ai and the Desktop App)
- Open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name it “Less Meeting”, paste the address above, and click Add.
- Click Connect next to Less Meeting. Claude opens Less Meeting so you can sign in and approve the connection.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for your organization first.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http lessmeeting https://app.lessmeeting.com/mcp
Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, pick lessmeeting, and sign in to Less Meeting in the browser window that opens.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, you add custom connectors through developer mode.
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create. Name it “Less Meeting”, paste the address above, choose OAuth for authentication, and save.
- ChatGPT opens Less Meeting so you can sign in and approve the connection.
On a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise plan, a workspace admin may need to turn on developer mode first.
Cursor
Open Cursor Settings → MCP, click Add new MCP server, and add Less Meeting to your mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"lessmeeting": {
"url": "https://app.lessmeeting.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Save the file, then click Connect (or Needs login) next to lessmeeting and approve the connection in your browser.
The Consent Screen
The first time you connect an AI assistant, Less Meeting shows you what it’s asking for:
- Read your meetings: meetings, agendas, notes and action items you can already see. Every connection includes this.
- Create and update your meetings: create and edit meetings (agenda, notes, action items, goals, parking lot, KPIs and attendees) and send the minutes to attendees. It’s ticked by default; untick it to connect read-only.
The screen also names the website the app will send you back to, and tells you when Less Meeting hasn’t verified the app. If you didn’t start the connection yourself, click Cancel.
To switch an app between read-only and read-and-update later, disconnect it and connect again.
Your Notes and Privacy
Your meeting notes are stored encrypted. When an AI assistant you’ve connected reads a meeting, Less Meeting decrypts that meeting’s notes to send them to it. Less Meeting doesn’t record or transcribe anything: the AI works from the agenda, notes and action items your team wrote. Once notes reach the assistant, its provider’s own privacy terms apply to them.
You can disconnect an AI assistant at any time.
Disconnect an App
- Open your Applications settings.
- Under Connected Apps, find the app. Each one shows its website and whether it can read only or read and update.
- Click Disconnect. The app loses access straight away.
Changing your Less Meeting password disconnects every app, so you’ll need to connect them again afterwards.
Troubleshooting
- The AI assistant says your plan has expired. It stays connected when a trial or plan lapses, but it can’t read or update anything until the plan is active again. See Do I need a paid seat to use Less Meeting?
- The assistant asks you to sign in again. This happens after a password change, or after you disconnect the app. Connect it again the same way.
