# MCP Server: Connect Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor

Source: https://lessmeeting.com/features/mcp-server/

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to Less Meeting over MCP. Ask about decisions and action items, and have your assistant prep agendas and send the minutes.

---

Let your AI assistant handle the meeting follow-up. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client to Less Meeting, ask what was decided and who owns what, then have it build next week's agenda, check off finished action items and send the minutes. Setup guide: [/help/mcp-server-claude-chatgpt-cursor/](/help/mcp-server-claude-chatgpt-cursor/).

- Server address: `https://app.lessmeeting.com/mcp`
- Sign-in: OAuth with your Less Meeting account; no API key
- Plan: any active plan (Personal or Team), including the free 14-day trial
- Listed in the official MCP Registry as `com.lessmeeting/mcp`

## What you can ask your assistant

Before the meeting:

- What's still open from last week's leadership meeting?
- Set up Monday's team meeting with last week's open items and parking lot.
- Add “Q4 hiring plan, 15 minutes” to Thursday's agenda.

After the meeting:

- Send the minutes from this morning's standup to everyone who attended.
- Mark the vendor contract action item done.
- What did we decide about the pricing change?

Between meetings:

- Which action items do I owe this week?
- How have our KPIs moved over the last four weekly reviews?
- Which of our recurring meetings scored lowest this month?

Creating or changing anything needs update permission on the consent screen.

## How it works

Less Meeting keeps decisions, action items (with owners and due dates), goals and KPIs as separate parts of each meeting, so the assistant can answer "who owns this and when is it due?" directly. Anything it changes is in the meeting your team opens next.

## What the assistant can read and change

- **Read meetings:** list, search and open meetings, with agenda, notes, decisions, action items, goals, parking lot, KPIs, score, ratings and the previous meeting in the series
- **Action items:** list your action items, including open ones, and complete them
- **Create and edit meetings:** agenda, notes, action items, goals, parking lot items, KPIs and attendees
- **Send minutes** to the meeting's attendees

## Connect in three steps

1. Copy the server address.
2. Add it as a connector: a custom connector in Claude, a connector under developer mode in ChatGPT (OAuth authentication), an entry in `mcp.json` in Cursor. Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http lessmeeting https://app.lessmeeting.com/mcp`, then `/mcp` to sign in.
3. Sign in to Less Meeting and choose the access on the consent screen: read and update (default), or untick "create and update" for read-only.

## Privacy and access

- Read-only or read and update, chosen on the consent screen
- The assistant sees the same meetings you can see in Less Meeting
- Less Meeting doesn't record or transcribe calls; the assistant works from the agenda, notes and action items your team wrote
- Disconnect any app from Settings → Applications; it loses access straight away

## FAQ

**What is MCP?** Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to other apps. Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor all support it.

**Do I need to be technical?** No. Paste one address into the connector settings and sign in to Less Meeting.

**Which assistants work?** Claude (claude.ai, desktop app, Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, and any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth.

**Which plan do I need?** Any active plan, including the free trial. If a plan lapses, the assistant stays connected but can't read or update anything until it's active again.

**Can the assistant change my meetings?** Only if you allow it on the consent screen. To switch later, disconnect and connect again.

**Does a meeting my assistant creates go on my calendar?** No. It's created in Less Meeting only and no invitations go out; send them from the meeting page. Attendees can only be people you've already met with in Less Meeting.

**What happens to my notes?** Notes are stored encrypted. When a connected assistant reads a meeting, Less Meeting decrypts that meeting's notes to send them to it; the assistant provider's privacy terms apply from there.

**How do I disconnect?** Settings → Applications → Connected Apps → Disconnect. Changing your Less Meeting password disconnects every app.
